


Garden Tours every Friday and Saturday at 2pm, given by Howick Hall Garden Volunteers. Meet at Admissions Kiosk. Learn about the history of Howick Hall, the family and the gardens.
Silverwood - the Woodland Garden. The rhododendrons are over, but the Euchryphias and Hydrangeas are in full flower in August.
The Bog Garden is in full flower at the moment with some unusual and interesting plants. they are all grown from wild origin seed collected on plant hunting expeditions abroad.
The herbaceous planting in the front borders and terraces is still very interesting.
In the Arboretum, the Hydrangeas are in flower now and there are the first signs of autumn colour and fruit which will develop over the coming weeks. There is a lovely woodland walk down to the sea which leads to a delightful sandy cove at Burnmouth; and visitors can take on the 'Howick Family Explorer Challenge', a nature trail for families which poses a number of questions - look out for swans, herons, ducks and red squirrels!
